Grown Up Makenna

Makenna is seeming so grown up. She is maturing and getting to do "big" things in fourth grade. But at the same time, she is still so enjoyable. She is so very helpful with her siblings and around the house. She cleans up more than her fair share of messes around here. She has started helping more with dishes, chores, and even laundry. The best part is that she enjoys the responsibility because she has always liked feeling grown up. I love our conversations and how she secretly wants me around, like when she was so worried that I wouldn't be able to come on her field trip. :) And she even finally got her own room. (Post to come.) She is enjoying having some space and time of her own. I love this big girl!

During the first few weeks of school, they had a locker decorating contest. And getting a locker was the thing she was the most excited for in fourth grade. So, decorating her locker was a must. I helped her cut out letters and decorate. It turned out so adorable. (Way cuter than my locker ever looked.) She didn't win, but is darn proud of her cute locker.

Makenna is in the TAGS program (Talented and Gifted Student) this year, which is exciting for her. Her hard work is what got her into the program, so she should be proud of herself. For homecoming week, she had to make a poster of the theme of each day. She came straight home and worked on it in her room until she was done. She took her time and it turned out adorable. And it was fun to see it hanging right next to the office.
Almost finished. She went back over the themed days in black marker.

Camden's T-Rex Birthday

Our little Camden turned 3! That is so hard to believe, other than the fact he acts and talks like a 3 (or 4) year old. His 3 years has gone so fast. It is hard to put into words the amount of joy he brings to our family. He is truly adored. He might possibly be the cutest little boy ever. Seriously. Everything about him is adorable

Camden is obsessed with dinosaurs, particularly T-Rex. So, we decided to do a little T-Rex birthday for him at my mom's. He and my mom share a birthday, so his party was the day after my mom's party. We had dinosaur decorations, a T-Rex piñata full of candy and little dinosaurs, dinosaur masks, a T-Rex shirt, presents wrapped in dinosaur paper, and dinosaur chicken nuggets. He was in dinosaur heaven.

We had the party with just my family and invited a little girl that was at my mom's party. We had lunch, broke open the piñata, opened presents, and ate cake. It was a perfect little party.

This may or may not be left over from my mom's party.
