Haircuts

It was finally time to take the girls in for actual haircuts. I have always just trimmed them myself. Makenna's hair grows so incredibly slow that it is easy to trim the ends and Hadley always wants her hair long, so she doesn't like it cut very often. But, it was time. And I figure it is worth documenting in case it takes that long to get it cut again. :)

This was Hadley's first haircut at a salon and Makenna's second. My friend, Alesia, cut their hair here in town. They both just got a trim and had some layers added to help with their curl. Hadley loved it. She loved having it styled, especially since she chose to have it straightened. She has such pretty, silky hair.

We are so happy that Makenna finally has a somewhat normal amount of hair. We didn't think she would EVER have any hair. We will take this amount, even if she never really has long hair.

Here are a few pictures of her first haircut 4 1/2 years ago.

Thanksgiving at Sean's and MJ's

We had Thanksgiving this year at my dad's and Mary Jo's. It was especially fun because the girls had their "new" cousins there to play with. One of them was only a few months old, so we especially loved cuddling her. It was a fun time all weekend. We had a good Thankgiving feast, did some Black Friday shopping, played Tennis, did more Christmas shopping, and watched the impressive Christmas firework show.

 My girls loved little Novi

Grandma Jo couldn't wait to give the girls their matching Christmas dresses. They loved them.
TENNIS TIME
My dad has been teaching tennis since I can remember. I like to think that my sister and I trained him well so that he could be an awesome teacher to small kids now. :) He took the 4 older grandkids to play tennis. They had fun and did great.

 CHRISTMAS FIREWORKS
Makenna and Sequoia get along famously.

Hadley and Cruz are funny together. They are so playful.

Pre-Thanksgiving Visit

We visited my family in the Sun Valley area two weeks before Thanksgiving since we weren't with my mom this year. It is always fun to visit there. We stayed at my mom and Frank's house, which is in such a pretty area. It was fun to get a little snow while we were there. My mom always feeds us well and my kids love playing with all of the toys they have. And Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids while Travis and I got some adult time with my sister and brother. We went out to dinner and even went out to dessert too. :)
I thought this picture was so pretty. Hadley loves this antique bird, Percy.

My mom took this cute picture while they were watching the kids. Camden and Grandpa Frank share a love for watching movies and red licorice.

Reading Time with Camden

This guy LOVES to read books. And he is always playful, even when he reads books. He thought it was so funny to play peekaboo. I found it funny that he just happened to be reading a book called "Peekaboo".  :)

HALLOWEEN!

For Halloween this year, our kids all wanted to be different things. No theme. :( Hadley is obsessed with Lalaloopsy dolls, so we bought her costume on clearance last year. She has been waiting for a whole year, so she was excited. Makenna wanted to be a popstar. We had different ideas of what a popstar was. I pictured an 80's popstar and she pictured "Barbie and the Popstar". So, after finding a dress at the DI, mending it, picking out some rockstar leggings, and accessories, she looked so cute, but very grown up. Camden fit perfectly into Makenna's old monkey costume and he loved it. He walked around saying "ooh ooh ah ah".

We kicked off the day with Hadley's Halloween party. I am her room mom, so she was so excited for her first class party. Then we came back for Makenna's costume parade.

After finishing both of the girls' class parties and costume parade, we decided to head to Poky. We have stayed in our little town for Halloween for the past few years, so we wanted to change it up since the kids didn't have school the next day. Trenton works at the corporate building for Idaho Central Credit Union. They do a big trick-or-treat thing for Halloween for family of the employees. The kids got to go through three floors of theme-decorated departments. It was perfect. It was inside and we were done an hour later with more candy that our kids could have imagined. The corporate floor even handed out full-sized candy bars.

Then we had dinner at Travis' parents, visited cute Grandma and Grandpa Pincock, and had our annual visit with the Jacksons.

I had to laugh as I went through my pictures because there seemed to be a reoccurring theme:
This little monkey and his sisters had a ton of candy!
