Yep, Camden's still growing, learning, and getting cuter and cuter all the time. I just love him so much. He is such a happy and sweet little dude. He is now 13 months. He still has no teeth, as in zero. Hopefully there are some in there? But this kid doesn't need teeth to eat- he's eats everything without them. He's still cruising around here, but now he thinks it's fun to run. His new thing is climbing on things and freely standing on top. It makes us nervous. We have to keep an eye on him to avoid broken bones. He also sneaks into the pantry every chance he gets and carries out a box of a whatever he can reach. His favorite foods right now are french fries, french toast sticks, cereal, bananas, and apples.
He has started doing cute things that make him seem like a little boy. Our favorite is that he shakes his head "yes" or "no" when we ask him a question. It is so great that he can tell us what he wants! He likes sign language, so I need to teach him more. He also still points and mumbles about what he wants too. He doesn't say a lot of words yet. He says mama, dada, ma (more), da (dog), and our favorite is "hi". He also waves good-bye or good night.
Camden likes to go to bed. We ask, "Do you want to go to bed?" and he enthusiastically shakes his head "yes". We've made some progress with getting him to go to sleep on his own. We rock him while he drinks his milk. Then he hands us his bottle. We give him his pacifier and he points to his crib. We lay him in there and then he watches... He still gets scared when we leave. So we usually read or play on the IPad in the rocker in his room so that he knows we're there. If we leave, he cries and cries and cries. So, this is our compromise for now. And after a little restlessness, he falls asleep. It's progress.
(Don't worry, we didn't let him eat the Bit-o-Honey. He just likes carrying little things around.)
Camden always feels the need to shove the whole cracker or cookie in his mouth.
He thought these little rides were so much fun.
