Sacred Bath

Because I was in the recovery room and Travis didn't want to leave my side, we asked Becky (Travis' mom) if she would help the nurse bathe and dress Macee. We wanted someone who loved Macee to be there with her. My mom didn't think she could do it- it was just too hard. And we could understand and respect that. But Becky knew right away that she wanted to do it. She told us that it would be such a privilege.

I was so glad the photographer was there to capture these precious pictures since Travis and I couldn't be there.

I am grateful for these two beautiful women for so lovingly and respectfully taking care of our angel's body. They bathed her delicate skin, washed her hair, took her precious footprints, and dressed her. They got Macee all ready and brought her to the recovery room for Travis and I to cuddle and spend that quiet time with her.
