Makenna's actual birthday, March 15, fell on a Monday. So, she got to play at the park during the day and then we went bowling with the Pincocks. She was so happy to be bowling with everyone. It was quite entertaining seeing everyone bowl. The kiddos (and the rest of us who aren't good bowlers) especially loved the bumpers. Oh yeah! No gutter balls this time. Somehow, Becky with her little bowling shuffle, won. The kids really had fun. My cute niece, Aizlyn, was so excited about bowling that she took off running onto the nice greased-up bowling lane and fell. Poor girl, though we laughed about it later. After bowling, we opened presents and had cake. (Yes, this is cake #3 for Makenna and she loved every bite.)
It was a good day and I couldn't help but think back to that day 5 years ago when we got to finally meet our sweet Makenna and kiss her chubby little cheeks. Our lives have never been the same. She is such an amazing little girl and we thank Heavenly Father every day for blessing us with her. Happy Fifth Birthday sweet girl!
The next day, we went to Twin to stay with my dad and Mary Jo and they had presents and cake for Makenna there too. This girl is spoiled!!!
