A Little Fish

Makenna had her first swimming lessons last month. She did so great. When Makenna was a baby, someone gave me some great advice to continually make her go under water even if she didn't like it so that she would be comfortable getting her face wet come swimming lessons. And it paid off. Her first lesson, she learned to swim with her face in the water. She seriously never stopped smiling the entire lesson. And now she LOVES swimming. She has become a little fish in the water. Pretty much the only time she comes out of the water is to take a breath. :) In only four lessons, she learned how to kind-of swim, float on her back, and even jump off the diving board! We were so impressed with how much she was willing to try. It will be fun to have both Makenna and Hadley in lessons next year!
