Lily, our elf

Lily is our elf, sent straight from the North Pole to watch over us for Santa. We got her last year and the girls were counting down the days all year until she came back. She came back December 1st and the girls were so excited. I am not sure if they were more excited for Christmas or Lily coming back?  

Lily is good for many things, like getting our kids to listen or to be nice or say sorry or eat dinner. One day, Makenna and Hadley were so, so naughty (they would obey anything we said), so Lily had to stay in the North Pole until the girls got back on the nice list. It was a beautiful thing. They were so much better after that and it only took one day to get back on the nice list. Hadley was especially upset about it. She even told her kindergarten teacher about it, but wouldn't tell her what she did wrong to get on the naughty list. Ha ha. 

Lily isn't mischievous or creative, like some fellow elves. She just hangs out around here. She even stayed in some places for a few days. She must have forgotten to move. We all just figured that she liked that spot.

We said goodbye to Lily on Christmas Eve when she headed back to the North Pole with Santa Clause. Until next year...
