We drove to Sea World in pouring rain. And then we sat in the parking lot as it rained harder and harder. Is all I could think was "Great, how are we going to make this work?" I definitely was having weather angst after spending the money to come here. We had checked the weather over and over (after the previous day's crazy rain) and it said we had a good chance of a decent day.
And right as the park opened, the rain stopped and the clouds broke. And we ended up having a sunny, rain-free day! We were all glad about that. A bonus was that the early rain had prevented everyone else from coming. There were so few people there... on a Saturday. The stadiums were empty and we walked right up to all attraction and exhibits.
We all loved the shows. We saw three: the Shamu show, the dolphins & aerialist show, and the sea lion show. The kids were amazed with them.
We also ate a good lunch and were able to go on all the rides we wanted to and see the different animals/fish. Camden's favorite was the sea turtles exhibit. He loved watching the turtles and colorful fish. He could have stayed there all day.
It was a fun day and we finished right as the rain came. Perfect timing. Makenna, Hadley, and Camden are still talking about Sea World. They really loved it. When we got back from out trip, Hadley's teacher asked her what was her favorite thing: she said the killer whales and dolphins. I am sure it had something to do with the fact that it was the last thing we did on our trip, but it also showed how much she loved it.
