It was so fun to backpack with these ladies. We had such fun and uplifting (and inappropriate at times) conversations. It was also nice to have quiet time to reflect and just be. It was the perfect thing before Mother's Day to take a break and come back revived and appreciative
Hiking in...
Hiking out.
Meet the crew:
Day 1
The cooks
Camp
(My favorite is the hanging packs, in an effort to try and keep the sand out.)
Day 2
A granary where the Anasazi stored their food- it is cool to still be able to see the dried up corn cobs
Jeni, my cute workout/adventurous friend
The wall of hands
Amazing Anasazi Rock Art
Katie, my kick-butt trainer/friend
What a cute little family! They even have a dog.
The picture makes me laugh. We are all laughing because my skirt was blowing up in the back. (Don't worry- it has built in shorts.)
Filtering water from one of the springs/puddles
