So, we changed direction and headed to Glacier National Park. Travis and I had been there exactly 10 years ago pre-kids. It was a breathtaking and epic trip. So, we were excited to show our kids this amazing place.
And it did not disappoint. We spent 8 days exploring and hiking lakes, waterfalls, visitor centers, lodges, and forests. We had a few days of rain, which is always challenging camping with small children. But we know how to carry on no matter the weather.
We started out on the east side. We stayed in the Many Glacier area, which was so beautiful. We saw 6 bears, big horn sheep, mountain goats, a moose, and plenty of deer in this area. We also explored the St. Mary area. The Going-to-the-Sun Road was closed the entire time we were there, which was a little bit of a bummer. They had an unusual amount of snow, including over 3 feet they received the week before we got there. So we drove up as far as we could, which was fine since we had already driven it 10 years ago.

We got to see a mama black bear with her two cubs. The one cub kept standing up to look over the grass. It was adorable.
