Alturas 2013

This wonderful week has come and gone already. It is always so anticipated and goes so quickly. We had fun together and enjoyed perfect weather the entire time. And it was fun to see almost everyone in our family. Camden especially loved it this year. He loved the beach all day and soaked up all of the attention from everyone. We never really see the girls because they are so busy playing with their cousins. It's fun to have our kids older and playing how I remember it when I was little. Makenna even had a cheer/dance, "Alturus is coming up",  that she sang all month.

Makenna and Hadley both skiied for the first time this year. Hadley said that she wanted to do it and wasn't a bit nervous. She just smiled the ENTIRE time. We told her when she was tired to give us the "done" sign. So, we got half way around the lake and asked if she was done with the sign and she shook her head "no". She just skiied and skiied until she had gone around the entire lake! 

Makenna was much more hesitant to try it. And she skiied with a serious look on her face. We finally did get a smile out of her. She is just so cautious that she wasn't sure what to think. Then after skiing a little over half way around the lake, she was done. When she got into the boat she said, "I should have tried that earlier this week."
