H's B-day

We were camping for my birthday, which is my favorite way to spend it. We started the day with breakfast made by Chef Travis. Then, we hiked a little interpretive trail. It is always nice to get in the forest without people around. (Then, they can't hear our kids complaining. :))  Then, after lunch we spent some time swimming around and lounging in the sun. Then, the clouds rolled in with the thunder. So, we headed to get ice a few miles away. And the rain came. Boy, did it. And then the hail. Serious, impressive hail. Of course the rainy evening of the week, we planned to make tin-foil dinners. But we made it work and were able to get everything cooked in between the showers. What do you do? Then, we were happy that the rain died off just in time for the last fire before heading home. It was a great way to spend a birthday.

 The sun came out for a brief moment in between the showers, so I played with my camera while we waited for the dinners to cook.
